VG&M British Science Week Family Day

Table-top activities at the Family Workshop of the Victoria Gallery and Museum kicking off British Science Week 2025.

During the 4 hour event, running from 11am-3pm, families and the general public will be able to engage in a variety of science-related activities. At our Computer Science table, children can take part in our activity: Smart Machines: Learn, Adapt, Evolve!

How do machines learn? Join us for a hands-on exploration of AI and adaptation! Try out Google Quick, Draw! to see how computers recognise doodles, uncover hidden rules in our alien classification challenge, and take on a learning AI in a game of Matchbox Hexapawn. Watch as machines improve through experience—just like us!
